Student Visa

All international students joining IUCN must apply for a Student Visa via IUCN. It is a requirement of the Malaysian Immigration Department that the receiving institution (IUCN) is responsible for applying on behalf of the Student. Students will have to pay a Personal Bond and the Student Visa processing fee. The Personal Bond is refundable when the students have completed their studies at IUCN.

STEP 1: DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (to be submitted to IUCN)
1. Application Form. This form is to be completed in full and signed by the applicant.
2. Academic Qualifications (Certified True Copies to be attached)
2.1 1 copy of HSC certificate / Diploma / GCE 'O' Levels / GCE 'A' Levels and / or equivalent certificates
2.2 1 copy of High School Leaving Certificate / Testimonial
2.3 Postgraduate application:
2.3.1 1 copy of CV (resume)
2.3.2 1 copy of letter from employer (if applicable)
2.3.3 Personal Statement
Note: The certificates stated in (2.3.1) to (2.3.2) above must be translated into English if they are in other languages.
3. Four (4) sets photocopies of ALL pages of the Passport (must be valid for at least 12 months) including blank pages on A4 size paper
4. Attach twelve (12) copies of passport-size color photograph (with your name and passport number clearly written on the reverse side of every photograph)
5. 1 copy of completed Health Examination Medical Report (valid for 3 months before registration), attached with all the original laboratory results and chest X-ray film and report.
6. Halls of Residence (Hostel) form should be completed in full and signed.

7. Initial Fees
7.1 Processing fee: Please send the Processing fee via Telegraphic Transfer (TT) and fax the TT receipt, with applicant's name, passport number, contact details (telephone number / email ID written on it, to IUCN. The Processing fee for the programmes is as follow:-
(i) Pre Nursing and Under Graduate Programme - USD10
(ii) Post Graduate Programme - USD30
7.2 Personal Bond Fee: You are required to prepare a Personal Bond (requirement by the Malaysian Immigration Department) payable to Run Education Sdn. Bhd. It will be duly returned to the student upon completion of studies. Please refer to the following table for the amount payable.

STEP 2: LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE
Upon receiving the above documents and processing fees, IUCN will email you a copy of the Letter of Acceptance. You are required to remit the Registration Fees (as stated in the Letter of Acceptance) and Personal Bond Fees payable to RUN Education Sdn Bhd. Upon receiving these fees, IUCN will send you the original Letter of Acceptance and the Original Visa Approval Letter.

Please proceed to the Pre Arrival Procedures
STEP 1:
You MUST provide IUCN the following information by fax + 603-7954 1985, attention to International Students Office or e-mail to iso@iucn.edu.my at least 7 days before departure:
(i) Date & Time of departure from home country
(ii) Date & Time of arrival to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) / LCCT Sepang, Kuala Lumpur
(iii) Flight name & number
Note: IUCN will not be held responsible for consequences if the above instruction is not complied with. Priority for airport pickup is for the registered students. Accompanying persons need to arrange for their own transportation. However, special arrangements can be made upon request.
STEP 2:
Before you leave for the airport in your home country, please make sure you bring along the following important documents:
(i) Passport (must be valid for at least 12 months)
(ii) Original copy of Visa Approval Letter or Valid Entry Visa
STEP 3:
You are required to fill in the Disembarkation Card provided by the airline crew. Please retain the card stub, you will need this when you return to your home country.
STEP 4:
IUCN representative will be waiting for you at KLIA, Immigration Counter 40. However, for those who are arriving at LCCT Sepang, Kuala Lumpur, they are requested to wait at Immigration Counter 10. IUCN representative will guide you to the Immigration Counter for clearance. You must be ready with the following documents:
(i) Passport
(ii) Original copy of Visa Approval Letter or Valid Entry Visa
IMPORTANT NOTE: Immigration Officer WILL NOT releases you without the presence of IUCN representative to identify and acknowledge you as a IUCN student.
STEP 5:
After Immigration Clearance procedure, IUCN representative will proceed to assist you to check in to the Halls of Residence (Hostel).

Please proceed to the Post Arrival Procedures
STEP 1:
You must report to International Students Office as per Offer Letter. You are required to settle the necessary payment due before the commencement of classes. The Student Affairs officer will assist you to open a bank account. During the orientation, you will be briefed on IUCN rules & regulations, academic session, facilities and other necessary information.

Attendance during orientation is COMPULSORY.

Note: Student ID card - You may collect your ID card after 3 working days at the Admission & Records Office.
STEP 2:
You MUST submit your passport to the International Students Office (ISO) after the orientation session, for further processing of Student Pass at the Malaysia Immigration Department. Our officer will provide a certified true copy of your passport for your safekeeping while pending the Student Pass endorsement. Your name will be published on the notice board when the passport is ready for collection.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. You are responsible to check with the Malaysian Embassy in your home country regarding any special requirements or visa requirements before coming to Malaysia.
2. Students from People's Republic of China are required to obtain their Entry Visas from the Malaysian Embassy prior to their entry to Malaysia
3. It will take at least 60 days for the Malaysian Immigration Department to issue the Visa Approval Letter. Please take note that it is the prerogative of the Malaysian Immigration Department to approve any visa application
4. African students are required to take the necessary inoculation (injection) especially Yellow Fever Vaccination before coming to Malaysia. A copy of the Medical Certificate must be produced for verification by the Malaysian Immigration Department
5. You are responsible to ensure that Student Pass and Entry Visa are VALID before leaving the country.
6. Students are NOT ALLOWED to get involved in IMMORAL ACTIVITIES. Any involvement may lead to the expulsion from IUCN and the student visa will be terminated
7. Students are not allowed to work during academic semesters
8. You MUST submit your passport for Student Pass extension/renewal one (1) month before Student Pass expires.
